NC Concealed Handgun Permit
Registration Fee: $75
This one-day course is designed for the everyday citizen wanting to carry a concealed handgun in public for protection. This course is a requirement for any North Carolina citizen wishing to apply for an NC Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP). Not only will you be legally covered to carry a concealed handgun in public, you can also use your CHP in lieu of a Purchase Permit to purchase firearms from a dealer.

Nomenclature, Fundamentals of shooting, Maintenance, Cleaning and Inspection of a handgun
The law of Deadly Force in North Carolina, including specific examples of when deadly force is and is not allowed
Legal requirements related to the carrying of a Concealed Handgun with a NC Concealed Handgun Permit
Handgun safety while Handling and in the Home
North Carolina laws pertaining to handgun purchase, ownership, and carry
Carrying a Handgun in Daily Life and the Principles of Situational Awareness

Be at least 21 years old and eligible to legally carry/own a handgun
A Handgun (revolver or semi-auto) using Centerfire Pistol Cartridge
Rimfire Calibers not allowed (Reasons are explained in the course)
At least two magazines; or speed loaders for revolvers
A reliable concealed or open-carry holster made of quality leather, nylon, or sturdy plastic/kydex
At least 100 rounds of ammunition in your handgun's caliber
Rental handguns are available for an additional $25.
If using a rental handgun, you MUST purchase ammunition from me for additional $20. This is to avoid damage to rental handguns via overpowered or reloaded ammunition.

NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting
Registration Fee: $75
The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA-affiliation. One option is the traditional, instructor-led course where you will receive direct instruction from an NRA-certified instructor from beginning to end. Additionally, students will complete live fire training and a nationally standardized shooting qualification while on the range with an NRA Certified Instructor. Students will receive the NRA Guide: Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination and receive a course completion certificate bearing the signature of the NRA Secretary and your NRA Certified Instructor.

Defensive handgun Course
Registration Fee: $150
This is a two-day course designed for the everyday citizen who wants to learn about the realities of carrying a handgun for protection, inside and outside of their home. During this course, we will be diving into the realities of carrying and using a handgun in the real world when you are thrust into a self-defense situation. This course also employs airsoft guns to conduct force-on-force training scenarios to familiarize students with the physical and mental responses to high-stress situations. Those wishing to attend this course need to be physically fit enough to be able to do some basic grappling (wrestling) without fear of broken bones or cardiac events (heart attack/stroke).

Situational Awareness and Handgun Retention Techniques
Interacting with Law Enforcement after a defensive shooting
Recoil control under rapid fire, emergency/tactical reloading
Handling multiple targets and trigger control/cadence

At least 200 rounds of ammunition in your handgun's caliber

Did you know that over half of law enforcement shooting incidents occur at night or in poor lighting conditions? Do you plan to only go out in public during daylight hours? This one-day (oxymoron, I know) course is designed for the responsible handgun owner who wants to learn how to be more effective and more comfortable using a handgun in the dark utilizing a weapon-mounted light (WML), handheld flashlight, or both.
Course Topics:
How to use your light source tactically
Using the lighting in your environment to your advantage
Various techniques to using a handheld light with a handgun
Situational Awareness at night and making yourself a hard target
Manipulating a handgun under low-light conditions
Reality-Based Force-on-Force (airsoft) training scenarios

Emergency trauma care
Registration Fee: $150
Even more important than causing holes is knowing how to plug them! Every responsible citizen, even those not wishing to carry a firearm, should have a basic knowledge of how to keep their fellow man alive long enough to get to an EMT or hospital. This course is NOT a CPR/AED course approved by the AHA. This one-day course will teach students how to be an effective responder to a medical emergency while help is on the way. Medical training equipment will be provided for the course and students will receive their own Trauma Kit upon completion.

Common life-threatening injuries and how they affect their victims
How to assess a victim and determine the right treatment
Using the military's M.A.R.C.H. system to save lives effectively
The proper use of life-saving medical devices, such as tourniquets
Contacting 911 and what to say for the best response
Keeping victims stable until EMS arrives on-scene
Live, reality-based practical scenarios
*Requirements to attend*
There are no requirements or prerequisites needed for this course.
Students are encouraged to be CPR certified before attending
*Students will be applying medical devices to each other such as tourniquets and compression bandages. It is imperative that the student understand what these devices feel like so that they understand what a victim feels in the real world. These devices can be painful and cause minor bruising which usually subsides in one or two days. Anyone who is not comfortable with this should NOT attend this course.*

This course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for the safe and proper use of a shotgun in shooting a moving target.This course is at least 10 hours long and includes classroom and range time learning how to shoot shotguns at moving targets. Students will receive the Basics of Shotgun Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics of Shotgun Shooting Student Examination, and receive a course completion certificate.
